Problem
The previous Palextra website lacked a clear visual hierarchy and consistent interface, making it difficult for users to find courses, schedules, and membership information.
The challenge was to create a professional, intuitive, and responsive platform that meets the needs of different user types while enhancing engagement and conversion.
Process
Examined the existing website to identify usability problems, content gaps, and visual inconsistencies.
Studied competitor gyms and similar platforms to discover best practices and opportunities to enhance the user experience.
Established a new visual style and information architecture focused on clarity and accessibility, tailored to the needs of different user groups
Created an essential design system in Figma including colors, typography, components, and layout to ensure consistency across the platform.
Redesigned key pages to improve visual hierarchy, readability, and content organization, making the interface more intuitive and professional.
Implemented the redesigned website in WordPress using custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring a responsive, accessible, and user-friendly platform that closely matches the Figma designs.
Delivered the full website along with the design system, high-fidelity screens, and guidance to the client on how to manage and navigate the new platform effectively.
Solution
These mockups showcase Palextra’s refreshed interface, designed to make browsing courses, schedules, and membership information intuitive and clear.
Each screen emphasizes readability, hierarchy, and responsive design, reflecting a professional and engaging gym platform.
Reflections
I learned how to structure content and navigation to serve both existing members and potential clients efficiently.
Redesigning class schedules, course details, and membership information reinforced the importance of hierarchy and clarity in presenting complex content.
I strengthened my ability to create a website that reflects a gym’s brand identity while remaining functional, responsive, and user-friendly.
